Dr. Paige and Jason Baker have a combined experience of over 47 years working with federal, tribal, state, local, and private agencies. They have translated the success in their respective fields to Baker Consulting, and are dedicated to building a successful and reputable company. Dr. Paige Baker has 37 years of experience in the private, public, and tribal sectors as a manager and administrator.
During that tenure, Dr. Baker acquired over 7 years of experience dealing with planning, management, and development in the energy sector. In his role at Baker Consulting, he has conducted strategic planning for the Energy Department (Oil and Gas Division) of the Three Affiliated Tribes. He also co-manages the oil field services division of the company. Through his education and years of experience he has learned how to effectively manage employees and how to build a successful company. Dr. Baker is a past Superintendent of two National Parks, a past Superintendent of the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation, and has been a Program Director of several university and private programs throughout the country. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Dakota Humanities Council. Jason Baker is a Civil Engineer who has over 10 years of professional experience in research and project management. His background as a Civil Engineer has provided several opportunities for unique and challenging projects ranging from design and construction of roadway facilities to modeling complex transportation networks using high-end micro-simulation software programs. He has worked with tribal, federal, state, and local agencies in the areas of transportation engineering and traffic operations, intelligent transportation systems, transportation planning, surveying, and site development/design. Jason is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of North Dakota. He is currently a member of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies (TRB) Native American Transportation Issues Committee, and is a member of the Young Members Council of TRB. He has also been involved with the Nurturing American Tribal Undergraduate Research and Education (NATURE) program as a summer conference speaker at North Dakota State University. Jason was also the facilitator, and is a current member of the North Dakota Traffic Operations Roundtable, which is an association of city, county, DOT, FHWA, and consulting engineers throughout North Dakota. Baker Consulting is licensed as a 100% Native American-owned company through the Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) on the Ft. Baker Consulting is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Minority Business Enterprise (DBE/MBE) through the North Dakota Department of Transportation. In addition, a Certificate of Commercial Practice has been granted by the North Dakota State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
