🛠️ DIY TIP : How often should you stain your deck in Kansas?

Here in the Midwest, we recommend re-staining your deck every 1.5-2 years — or sooner if it sees a lot of sun and rain.
research the different types of stain such as water based or oil based so you know what is a best fit for your project!

Pressure Washing Your Deck 101:

💦 Want to bring your deck back to life? Pressure washing is a great DIY task if done right!

Tips:

Clear all furniture and plants away first.

Use a wide fan nozzle and keep the nozzle at least 12-18 inches away to avoid damaging or “fuzzing” the wood.

Use a quality deck cleaner or wood-safe detergent for better results.

Work in sections, rinsing as you go from the farthest corner toward your exit.

If and most likely when you get to close to your deck and you see the "fuzz" no worries a quick sand with 60 or 80 grit paper on an orbital sander after it dries and its good as new.
