❄️ Significant Snow Possible This Weekend – Prepare Your Heating System Now ❄️

With the potential for heavy snow and extreme cold this weekend, now is the time to prepare your HVAC system. Severe weather can delay service calls, and if your heat goes out, repairs may take several days.

Here’s how to prep your system before the storm hits:

✅ Change your air filter – A dirty filter restricts airflow and can cause your system to overwork or shut down.
✅ Check thermostat batteries – Weak batteries can cause loss of heat at the worst time.
✅ Clear snow & debris from outdoor units and exhaust/intake pipes. Blockages can cause system failure or safety shutdowns.
✅ Run your system now – Listen for unusual noises or uneven heating. If something seems off, address it before the storm.
✅ Set a consistent temperature – Avoid turning heat way down at night; recovery can strain the system.
✅ Have a backup plan – Space heaters (used safely), extra blankets, and keeping cabinet doors open to protect pipes.

📞 If your system is already struggling, call us ASAP. Pre-storm maintenance could save you days without heat.

Stay warm, stay safe, and don’t wait until the snow is falling to prepare!

🎉 New Year’s Resolutions for Your HVAC System 🎉
Because comfort is a commitment, not a coincidence.

✔️ Check your vents & registers
Make sure furniture, rugs, or household items aren’t blocking airflow. Your system can’t do its job if it can’t breathe.

✔️ Upgrade to a programmable thermostat
Control when your system runs, reduce energy costs, and take some strain off your HVAC—your wallet will thank you.

✔️ Change your air filter regularly
This one matters more than most people think. A clean filter every month helps prevent future problems and keeps your system running efficiently.

✔️ Schedule routine maintenance
Plan for a professional tune-up twice a year—spring and fall. Regular maintenance boosts efficiency, extends system life, and helps prevent surprise breakdowns.

Stick to these resolutions, and your HVAC system just might be on its best behavior all year long.
And if you need help keeping them? That’s what your local HVAC pros are here for. 💪❄️🔥

Small-town service. Big standards. Bold comfort.
Happy New Year! 🎆

❄️ First Day of Snow + First Day of Heater Emergencies! ❄️
It’s our first accumulative snowfall of the year, and as the temps drop, we’re already getting calls from homeowners whose heaters won’t kick on.

Before you end up in the cold, here are a few simple tips to help prevent your heat from going out:
🔥 Change your air filter (a clogged filter can shut your system down)
🔥 Check that your thermostat is set to Heat and the batteries aren’t low
🔥 Make sure your outdoor unit and vents are clear of snow and debris
🔥 Listen for unusual noises—early signs of trouble

If your heat does stop working, try this first:
🔧 Turn your thermostat off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on
🔧 Check your breaker panel to make sure the furnace breaker hasn’t tripped
🔧 Make sure your furnace door is fully closed (some units won’t run if it isn’t)
🔧 Reset your system if your model has a reset switch

If none of that gets the warm air flowing again, don’t panic—we’re just a call away! 📞

Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the first snow of the season! ❄️🔥

🚨 Heads up from the team!🚨
With tonight’s forecast calling for below-freezing temperatures, your home’s plumbing is at risk for frozen or even burst pipes. We want to make sure you’re prepared and protected.

Here are some quick & effective tips to keep your pipes safe:
• Keep your thermostat set at or above 55 °F, even at night or if you’re gone.
• Let a faucet drip (cold water) at the faucet farthest from the main water shut-off. Flowing water helps prevent ice forming.
• Open cabinet doors under sinks (especially on exterior walls) so warmer air can reach the plumbing.
• Insulate exposed water pipes in basements, attics, crawl spaces, and garages. Use proper pipe-insulation or heat tape / cables where needed.
• Disconnect garden hoses, drain exterior faucets, shut off the internal valve to outside faucets. That outdoor plumbing is very vulnerable.

⚠️ If you suspect a frozen pipe:
• If you turn on a faucet and get just a trickle or nothing, you might have a frozen pipe.
• Open the faucet so water (once thawed) has somewhere to go—this can help melt the ice.
• Use gentle heat (hair dryer, warm towels) on the pipe. Never use an open flame or torch — that’s a fire & damage risk.
• Locate your main water shut-off valve now and make sure everyone in the household knows where it is. In the event of a burst pipe this is your first move.
• If you think a pipe has already burst (pooling water, leaks) call us immediately so we can minimize damage.

📞 If you’d like us to come out and inspect your pipes, check insulation, or winterize your plumbing — give a call at 785-556-0743. We’re here for you.

Stay warm, stay safe, and let’s prevent those frozen-pipe nightmares together! ❄️🚰

❄️ BRUTAL COLD IS COMING – PROTECT YOUR HVAC SYSTEM! ❄️

With wind chills dropping into the negatives, your heating system will be working overtime to keep up. Here are a few tips to stay warm and prevent HVAC emergencies:

🔥 Don’t crank up the thermostat – Set it a few degrees higher than normal, but don’t push it to the max. Your system is already working hard!

🚪 Keep doors and windows sealed – Block drafts with towels or weather stripping to keep the warm air in.

🔄 Let your faucets drip – Helps prevent pipes from freezing and bursting.

🌡️ Check your filters – A clean filter allows for better airflow and efficiency.

🔧 DO NOT turn off your heat – Even if you leave, keep it at least 55°F to prevent frozen pipes.

If your furnace struggles or stops working, call us! We’re here to keep you warm. Stay safe and take care of your system!
