Nope! That’s not a marble slab you see. 👀

That’s a custom decorative finish using Microestil microcement, hand-applied to create the depth, movement, and natural veining of real marble—without installing a single slab.

Every detail is crafted by hand, making each wall completely one of a kind!

From design to ex*****on this hearth/fireplace job in Sandusky, Ohio was one of my favorites to date. Besides the great people and area surrounding Lake Erie, this is one of my favorite finishes to create! What a journey! I was able to use AI to make up a mock picture of the ideas I had, based on what the homeowners asked for, and delivered almost exactly that for them! I moved up the cross vein so that focal point wouldn’t be stuck behind a tv, but this will really come together once that and the fireplace are installed. Can’t wait to see the final pictures! Microestil Cement for the hearth and Cadoro Plasters for the fireplace. That’s one killer combo! If you’re interested in this finish check out the Pizza Garden in Manitowoc or the Blind Horse winery in Cedarburg for an upfront visual!

Sneak peek at the Ohio job! 🚐💨

I lugged all my gear along with the camper, hit the open road, and headed to Ohio to leave my mark in Sandusky! 🔥

The hearth is almost wrapped up—sealer coat going on sooooooon. Tomorrow, it’s time to start on the fireplace! 👀

Stay tuned… this one is going to be a good one! 🤘

Fun fact these pigments make up almost every color I custom match! Yellow oxide, black, raw umber, and occasionally a bit of brown oxide. These four pigments, in different ratio combinations combine to make whites, grays, blacks, tans, beiges and more with almost any undertone color you might need to accent your own personal design! 🎨🖌️
