At Jones Metal, we proudly celebrate the incredible contributions of welders - the skilled professionals who build and shape our world, one weld at a time. Welding is essential in creating and maintaining our infrastructure, ensuring safety and durability across industries. Welders bring innovation, craftsmanship, and precision to every project.

Our Welding Trainer Jordan Hall praised the team related to a recent complex project: “We sent in a great round of 29 welding certifications, and all passed. Great job by the welding team members as this helps us succeed with projects and partners every day.”

At Jones Metal, sustainability isn’t a trend - after nearly 84 years and 3 generations, we’re still investing in ways to reduce our environmental impact and protect the planet.

Our 2nd-generation owner Marcia Richards leads by example. As a Master Gardener and DNR Volunteer, she does her part recycling, composting, and caring for the land.

Inside our facility, sustainability is always on our radar - from material recycling and energy efficiency to paper-free processes, optimized designs, eco-conscious sourcing, and employee education. Outside, initiatives like our rain garden, pollinator-friendly landscaping, and fuel-efficient shipping fleet help extend our impact into the community.

Congratulations on retirement to one of our team members – Lyle Steckman!

We cannot thank him enough for all he has done as both a coworker and friend in his 17 years at Jones Metal.

We held a small reception to say goodbye, tell some of our favorite jokes (very pun heavy ones, in true Lyle fashion), and gifted him a signed joke book to read next to his own Dragon Outdoors firepit made for him by his co-workers.

Join us in welcoming Steve Petri!
We’re excited to announce that Steve has joined Jones Metal Inc. as our new Operations Manager and a key member of our leadership team.

Steve brings more than 30 years of manufacturing and management experience, including the last 24 years in a variety of roles at Cambria. His deep background in operational excellence, technology, and continuous improvement will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our processes and elevate the service we provide to our partners.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time outdoors, especially walking his dogs (2 labradoodles and a golden doodle). He and his wife also enjoy time with their 2 children and 5 grandkids.

Please join us in giving Steve a warm welcome to the Jones Metal family. We’re thrilled to have him on board.
