Mansfield, OH | Adena Corporation

Adena is hiring a Safety Specialist to support our construction projects and fabrication operations across North Central and Central Ohio. Based out of Mansfield, this role plays a key part in driving safety excellence through compliance, training, and proactive risk management in both field and shop environments.

This position involves overseeing regulatory compliance, conducting site inspections, leading safety training, and partnering with project teams to reinforce a strong safety culture. If you are passionate about injury prevention and creating safer job sites, we want to hear from you.

Required experience and qualifications include:

✔ 2–5 years of safety experience and 4+ years in construction
✔ Knowledge of federal and state OSHA regulations
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
✔ OSHA 30 (OSHA 500 preferred) or willingness to obtain within 60 days
✔ First Aid/CPR/AED, fall protection, rigging/signaling, crane safety, and forklift training (or willingness to obtain)

Key responsibilities:

✔ Conduct weekly site visits and safety inspections (field & fabrication shop)
✔ Lead safety orientations and training programs
✔ Analyze incidents, trends, and implement corrective actions
✔ Support project teams with site-specific safety planning

Adena Corporation is hiring a Safety Director to lead safety strategy and performance across our Ohio operations, including projects, fabrication shops, and campuses.

This role is responsible for planning and injury prevention, task and risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and safety communications across all divisions. The Safety Director will implement and manage company safety initiatives, policies, and procedures while working closely with corporate leadership to strengthen and advance an injury-free environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
✔ Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety efforts across all Ohio divisions
✔ Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for regulatory compliance

✔ Oversee safety training, tracking, and site inspections
✔ Maintain OSHA and MSHA recordkeeping and manage related compliance items
✔ Support incident investigations, reporting, and return-to-work coordination

✔ Lead safety prequalification processes (ISNetworld, Avetta)
✔ Manage safety staff and support continuous improvement initiatives

Required Experience & Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
✔ 10+ years of experience in construction or industrial safety
✔ 5+ years of leadership experience
✔ BCSP certification required
✔ Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
✔ Experience training in Fall Protection, Confined Space, LOTO, and MEWP preferred
✔ Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills
