Diesel Technician — Sign on Bonus: $1,000 after 12 months continuous employment

Job Description: Inspect, test, diagnose & repair electronic and mechanical engines and transmissions including Allison's — watching gauges, dials, or other indicators determining cause of operating errors, deciding the most effective path to correct, and completing the repair/tasks.
Carry out repair and tune up adjustments on Cat and Mack engines from routine maintenance to complex rebuilds with the ability to determine the needed tools and replacement parts.
Complete metal fabrication involving the use of air arch and wire feed machines.
Maintain a complete and accurate computerized and/or written record of material, parts and work performed in detail.
Accomplish related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Able to work second shift: 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and overtime when needed.
Provide own tools
Drug free and able to pass drug testing
Able to work inside and outside
Ability to adapt to a very active and changing environment

Benefits: Weekly pay, wages competitive and based on experience $25-$45 hr.

Silver Streak is hiring experienced Dump Truck & Trailer and Side Dump Drivers.
Potential Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 after 12 months continuous employment
Job Description: Operate dump trucks, 8 axle - tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver (dump &/or spread) aggregate — maneuvering trucks into loading and unloading positions safely.
Communicate well with dispatcher, loaders, scale staff, site leads, and co-workers — maintaining professional decorum.
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical equipment is in good working order — preform pre-trip and post-trip inspection — identify and detect the cause of mechanical defects. Keep the assigned vehicle well maintained, cleaned, and thoroughly sanitized. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid.
Follow the rules of the road and safety procedures for transporting goods — inspect loads and surroundings to ensure safety of people and properties. Check condition of trucks and trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
Maneuver and navigate equipment safely. Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating wheel locks.
Maintain written work-logs pertaining to load and dump times, pit sites, and job sites — obtaining receipts &/or signatures for transports. Submit paperwork end-of-shift(s).
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles — complete vehicle inspection reports, incident reports, and other reports as required.

Requirements: Available to work every weekday and overtime including Saturdays as needed — we’re busy!
Current Class A CDL license and DOT Medical Certification
3 years’ driving experience
Clean, insurable driving record
Able to assess vehicle’s workability, functionality, and keep it clean
Drug free and able to pass DOT required drug testing
Able to read and write
General knowledge of local area and various gravel pits a plus
