Big investments. Bright futures. 🌟
There’s a lot happening in Cottondale! It’s exciting to see plans for the community beginning to take shape.
Work is underway at Crossroads Park, where a new farmers market pavilion, splash pad, green space, restrooms, and parking area will create a place for families to gather, play and connect.
Just down the road, construction is also progressing on the McKinnon Street Parking Area, adding 17 public parking spaces to improve access to the Downtown Cottondale Community Center (which is also receiving a facelift and expansion) and help support existing and future businesses along the U.S. 231 corridor.
And there’s more to come including a new Police Station, Safe Room and Fire Station improvements; Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements; and new community entry signs.
Each of these projects may serve a different purpose, but together they represent something much bigger: a community investing intentionally in its future.
DHM is proud to partner with the City of Cottondale in helping turn that vision into reality. From infrastructure and public safety to recreation and downtown revitalization, we are grateful to play a part in projects that will serve Cottondale residents, families and businesses for years to come.
And speaking of gratitude, these investments would not be possible without funding support through FloridaCommerce, including the Rural Infrastructure Fund, CDBG-Mitigation, and Hometown Revitalization programs, as well as funding support from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), and other state and federal resources.
