Embarking on a journey into the extraordinary life of Marsha Rhea Williams this Women's History Month! 🚀✨

An American educator and researcher, she etched her name in the annals of history as the first African American woman to earn a Ph.D. in computer science in 1982. 🎓💻

Beyond her groundbreaking academic achievement, Marsha Rhea Williams held numerous esteemed positions and, most recently, graced the halls of Tennessee State University as a tenured professor. 🏫💙 Her impact resonates not only in the realm of academia but also as a beacon for aspiring individuals breaking barriers in the tech world.

In 1982, Marsha Rhea Williams pioneered a path that paved the way for future generations. Forty-one years later, we still celebrate the important firsts for Black women in computing, a testament to her enduring legacy. 🌟

Let's honor Marsha's remarkable contributions, acknowledging the strides she made and the doors she opened for others. 👩‍💼👩‍💻
