Like mother, like daughter. ❀️

S.A. White is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and today we’re looking back in time.

In the first photo, you'll find Suse Ann Gresh, Kim's mother, as a teenager, standing proudly on an old Sinclair fuel truck in the 1950s. At the time, her father, S.A. White, who founded the company in 1926, was still at the helm. How cool is that?!

And in the next photo, you'll see Kim posing alongside some of our modern fleet. Three generations and a whole lot of history separate the founding of S.A. White from where we are today.

So much has changed over the past 100 years, but the heart of this company has remained the same. The commitment to hard work, honest service, and community that drove those early trucks down the road is the same spirit that guides us today.

None of this would have been possible without the customers, partners, and teammates who have stood by us through the decades. We are truly humbled and grateful for each and every one of you. This milestone is as much yours as it is ours. πŸŽ‰

We'd love to hear from you! Drop your favorite S.A. White memories in the comments below! πŸ‘‡

Long weekend plans? Your engine's got a say in that. 🚀

Before you hit the water, the trails, or the backyard this Labor Day, think about what's actually in your tank. Ethanol-blended fuel pulls in moisture, and that moisture leads to rust, gunk, and corrosion sitting inside your engine while it waits for the next adventure. Not the way you want your boat, lawn mower, or classic car spending the holiday.

Non-ethanol recreation gas, or rec gas, is the smarter fill-up. Here's why:
πŸ’§ No moisture, no mess: clean fuel means less rust and fewer gummed-up parts down the road.
⚑ Stronger performance: it burns cleaner and more efficiently, so your jet ski, mower, or ride runs the way it should.
πŸ’° Real savings over time: yes, it costs a little more at the pump, but it helps you dodge pricey repairs and unexpected downtime.

Swing by S.A. White and top off with rec gas before the fun begins. Your engine will handle the rest!

Today, we're excited to shine the spotlight on someone who has been a trusted member of the S.A. White family for nearly 16 years: Meet Ed! πŸ’™

Ed's path to S.A. White is one of those stories that just makes sense. Before joining our team, Ed built and ran his own dump truck and landscaping business, bringing a CDL, hazmat certification, and years of hands-on experience with him. Through his business, he got to know the S.A. White team and even helped the company out from time to time. So when the opportunity came for Ed to officially join S.A. White nearly 16 years ago, he was already a familiar face, and it turned out to be a natural fit.

As a fuel delivery driver, Ed is up and rolling by 6 a.m. most mornings. His route takes him west of Atlanta, where he serves a loyal mix of contractors and farm customers, many of whom he's known for years, some since long before he was delivering fuel to their door.

Ask Ed what keeps him coming back after all these years, and he'll give it to you straight: "It's a family environment. They've always treated me with the utmost respect, and I try to do the same thing."

Outside of work, Ed's heart belongs to Starr Ranch, the nonprofit animal rescue he founded and runs in Rockmart, Georgia. What started as a family legacy, with the original Starr Ranch tracing back to Iowa in 1911, continues today with Ed caring for rescued animals across four locations in his community. Starr Ranch is currently home to 24 horses and 15 dogs.

Through Starr Ranch, Ed and his miniature horses and therapy dogs visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals, and families navigating some of life's hardest moments.

Rooted in his Cherokee heritage, Ed approaches life with a deep connection to nature and respect for every soul, human or animal, that crosses his path. As he puts it simply, "We're all in it together."

We're grateful to have him as part of the S.A. White family and look forward to many more years of his early mornings, long routes, and dedication to the people and communities he serves.

Some moments in history call us to pause, reflect, and honor those we lost. September 11 is one of them.

For the SA White family, the Shepherd's Men 9/11 Legacy of Remembrance Memorial Climb has a special connection. Travis Ellis, VP of our sister company Mobilized Fuels, co-founded Shepherd’s Men in 2014 to raise awareness and support for the SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center, a 100% donor-funded program dedicated to healing the hidden injuries of war.

This year, you're invited to do more than remember; you're invited to walk in their footsteps. The Shepherd's Men 9/11 Legacy of Remembrance Memorial Climb is a solemn, immersive tribute that honors the lives lost on that day while supporting the veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders served through Shepherd's Men and the SHARE Military Initiative.

Participants will climb 35 flights of stairs, representing the climb many first responders made in the World Trade Center North and South towers. Along the way, memorial displays, historic photographs, and personal stories line the stairwell, inviting you to pause, reflect, and remember the people behind the headlines.

πŸŽ‰ Our 100th Anniversary celebration continues, and this month we're shining a spotlight on healing, recovery, and hope by highlighting two incredible Marietta nonprofits making a life-changing impact every single day: Davis Direction Foundation and The Extension, Inc.! πŸ’™

As part of our commitment to giving back more than $100,000 to local nonprofits this year, we're honored to recognize two organizations that are helping individuals and families overcome addiction, restore hope, and build brighter futures.

The Davis Direction Foundation stands at the forefront of the fight against opioid addiction. Through education, advocacy, recovery support, and breaking down the stigma surrounding addiction, they're helping individuals and families find hope and healing.

As a longtime supporter, S.A. White is proud to contribute to Davis Direction's mission each year. We also love finding additional ways to help, like donating fuel for the trucks that support Re-Zoned Thrift Boutique, where every purchase helps fund Davis Direction's programs and provides employment opportunities for people in active recovery. β›½πŸ’™

The Extension provides long-term residential recovery for men and women experiencing addiction and homelessness, offering the tools, support, and accountability needed to achieve lasting recovery and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. πŸ™Œ

Recovery is possible, and organizations like these make it happen every day. We're honored to be longtime supporters of both organizations, and we're grateful for everything they do to make our community healthier, stronger, and more hopeful. 🌟

Join us for a day of sporting clays, connection, and giving back at the beautiful Garland Mountain Sporting Clays & Grill in Waleska, GA. This yearly favorite brings our community together for something bigger than a great day outdoors; it's a chance to support better healthcare across every Wellstar community. πŸ’™

The Strand Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning musical: Parade. 🎭

Set in Marietta in 1913 and based on one of the most significant events in our community's history, Parade tells the story of Leo Frank and the trial that captured the nation's attention, leaving a lasting impact on Marietta that is still felt today. Through the unwavering devotion of his wife, Lucille, the musical explores themes of justice, love, prejudice, and hope that continue to resonate more than a century later.

Following its celebrated Broadway revival, Parade won two Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical, earning widespread critical acclaim.

As S.A. White celebrates 100 years in Marietta, we're reminded of the importance of preserving and understanding the history that has shaped our community. As a member of The Strand Theatre's Board of Directors, our President, Kim Gresh, is proud to support this production and the vital role The Strand plays in bringing world-class arts, history, and community together in the heart of downtown Marietta. This story also holds special meaning for Kim through her family's connection to Mary Phagan.

🎟️ Parade runs September 4–20. Don't miss this extraordinary production.
