October is National Arts and Humanities Month, and as part of our centennial celebration and commitment to giving back $100,000+ to our community, we're proud to spotlight some of the arts organizations that make Marietta shine! 🎭✨

🎭 The Strand Marietta Theatre is a Marietta Square treasure, bringing live shows, concerts, and classic films to audiences of all ages. Our president, Kim Gresh, has proudly served on their Board of Directors for 21 years, and we're honored to support everything they do for the arts here in Marietta.

🖼️ The Marietta Arts Council is a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to enriching Marietta's artistic and cultural landscape through advocacy, education, and public art. From experiential installations to the annual Mountain to River TrailFest, they make creativity accessible to everyone. S.A. White is proud to be a regular sponsor of their work and mission!

🎻 The Georgia Symphony Orchestra brings world-class music and education to our community, and our support goes back over 30 years. We recently had the sweetest visitor stop by our office! 🐾 We were so happy to welcome Jessie, a sweet therapy puppy from Starr Ranch in Rockmart, Georgia.

Starr Ranch is extra special to us because it was founded and is run by one of our very own drivers, Ed Countryman! 💙

Through Starr Ranch, Ed and his miniature horses and therapy dogs visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals, and families going through some of life's hardest moments. They bring comfort, smiles, and a whole lot of love wherever they go.

Kim loves recognizing and celebrating the businesses and people who give back to our Cobb community! 💙

Last week, our President Kim Gresh joined the Cobb Community Foundation at its Above & Beyond event, where they celebrated more than 40 Corporate Champions (including us 😉) who are helping build a stronger Cobb County.

The event highlighted how Corporate Champion support helps local nonprofits thrive through flexible funding and supports efforts like the upcoming Cobb Vital Signs initiative, which will pair neighborhood data with residents’ experiences to better understand community needs.

At the event, Kim, who serves as First Vice Chair of the CCF board, shared why this partnership matters to us:

“It's reassuring to know there's an organization bringing people together to tackle whatever our community needs next. As a Corporate Champion, we help make that possible. We're investing in a community we care about and helping it move forward.”

🎃 Spooky season is here!

As we celebrate our 100th anniversary this year, we've been looking back through a century of memories. Some of our favorite finds? These vintage photos from the S.A. White collection that are getting us in the Halloween spirit! 👻

Taken at the grand opening of one of our retail partners, Ray Sanders Sinclair, sometime in the 1950s, these photos capture a Halloween celebration complete with free hot dogs, Cokes, and candy. Now that’s a treat! 🍬 🕸️
