A bright day for local energy.☀️

Last week, we celebrated the launch of SolarShare, Cobb EMC's new community solar project. SolarShare gives eligible Cobb EMC members a simple way to participate in solar energy without installing rooftop panels, while helping keep the benefits of renewable energy right here in our local community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting and tour of both our SolarShare and battery storage facilities.

As we monitor this weekend's weather, forecasts are calling for sustained winds and strong gusts that could bring down trees and power lines, increasing the potential for power outages.

Now is the time to prepare your household. Visit cobbemc.com/outage for storm preparedness resources, outage information and the latest updates. While you're preparing at home, we've been preparing too.

Long before severe weather is in the forecast, Cobb EMC crews work year-round to strengthen system reliability through proactive tree trimming, equipment maintenance and system improvements. These efforts help reduce storm-related outages and position our crews to respond safely and efficiently when severe weather impacts our communities. With this weekend's weather approaching, our teams are actively monitoring conditions and stand ready to respond if outages occur.
