Christopher Sanders stands at the forefront of The Gas Company and Lonestar Natural Gas, Inc., where he serves as President. His innovative spirit has driven the exploration and development of significant portions of the Fort Worth Basin in Texas and the Permian Basin in New Mexico. In 2005, he pioneered sustainable technology that transforms air into water, showcasing his commitment to a greener future.
With over 20 years of experience in management and finance within the Oil and Gas industry, Chris is not only a seasoned Landman, Producer, and Operator but also a published author through McGraw Hill—contributing invaluable insights on petroleum geology and reservoir engineering. He played a crucial role in implementing CO2 fracking techniques, setting standards that defined the Barnett Shale.
Chris’s exceptional work as a Landman has seen him acquire millions of acres, earning recognition as the “Landman in Action” from the American Association of Petroleum Landmen. He founded the United Basin and County Landman association, uniting 500 of the nation's leading landmen. His creation of sustainable air-to-water technology has repositioned environmental strategies within the industry, allowing for collaboration with prominent companies and institutions such as Air Products, Aramco, NASA, and Halliburton.
Ranked in the top 10% of natural gas production in Texas and New Mexico for over 25 years, Chris has also developed proprietary fracking methodologies that utilize shale source bed rock as anaerobic digesters. His dedication to his craft was acknowledged in 2006, when he became the only operator in Texas endorsed by both the EPA and TCEQ.
Beyond industry advancements, Chris's compassionate approach has seen him play a pivotal role in post-Hurricane Katrina remediation efforts in New Orleans, co-developing a Kiri tree technique for oil cleanup. He believes passionately that natural gas is essential for the United States’ energy independence and beyond, envisioning it as a resource not just for water but also for innovative technologies like cryptocurrency.
With the capability already established to convert natural gas into diesel fuel, his team, including three top scientists, is working tirelessly towards a vision of an energy-independent nation. As a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit, he has also launched the Robusta Bean and Robusta Nut coffee brands, furthering his mission of sustainable, innovative growth. Under Chris’s leadership, the future looks promising, fostering international prosperity through sustainable energy solutions.
