SUMMARY
Primary responsibility is careful loading and unloading of vacuum furnaces, with an emphasis on having a critical attention to detail. Additional tasks, as needed, will be maintenance and basic repair of equipment throughout the facility.

FURNACE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare parts for loading into furnace, including wiping and final cleaning as necessary.
• Evaluate load configuration of parts on racks or grids for economical batch size and furnace hot zone limits.
• Load and unload furnace and ovens as scheduled.
• Ensure proper brazing cycle is used following company’s work instructions.
• Maintain graphite fixturing and furnace systems, including preventative maintenance checks on pumps, motors and other items listed in the maintenance log.
• Willingness to learn supporting components & systems, such as vacuum pumps, cooling water system, off gas system, condensate recovery, process gasses, etc.
• Document furnace runs and maintenance procedures in furnace logs.

FACILITY SUPPORT OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain physical structure of establishment including groundskeeping and custodial tasks.
• Maintain and provide routine and preventative machinery and facility maintenance according to maintenance schedule.
• Exhibit good housekeeping practices at all times.
• Occasional driving responsibilities for company errands.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity and competence with support equipment such as forklifts, man lift, and power tools.

GENERAL SKILLS

• Experience operating gasoline-powered equipment including a zero-turn mower, trimmers, push mowers, chain saw, tractors, power washers
• Ability to use arms and hands in a full range of physical motion
• Perform minor mechanical repair/adjustments to equipment
• Use small hand tools to perform duties
