Congratulations Jeff Dboy at getting first place in Comp EFI at yesterday’s truck pull in Gillett! Unfortunately Wausaukee pull was cancelled and we didn’t get to pull, leaving us with only 2 pulls left this year. Next pull is this upcoming Thursday in Norway, hoping for a great turnout!

Spent some time with the guys going over how this Edelbrock AVS2 Carburetor works and delivers fuel. From idle air bleeds, main jets, fuel rods, fuel float height, secondary air valve spring tension, and accelerator pump settings!

This carb was tinkered with previously somewhere and was definitely not working well at all. Primary jet and rod combo where so rich our afr gauge was reading into the 9s above 4000 rpm. And cruising was around 12.9-13 afr.

Down a primary jet and 4 rod combos put us back into the realm of street car! Fixed the secondary air valve tension as the car would cough on tip in like a Quadrajet.

The biggest thing that really intrigued me is the air filter…. For a car that was tuned previously I don’t know how they didn’t catch the fact the air cleaner setup was killing 100 HP…… check out that dyno graph with the air cleaner off vs on.

We lead the customer into a few different filter options that should help fix that terrible air starvation issue.

Here is an awesome 1970s Blazer build that we had the opportunity to dial in. Holley Terminator Max Ecu, LS3 Crate Engine followed by a 4L80E Transmission.
