Tomorrow we celebrate 250 years.

What does that mean to us?

It means honoring the people who built this great country and inspiring the newer generations to build something even greater.

Two and a half centuries ago, a group of men looked at impossible odds and chose courage over comfort. They risked their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor for an idea bigger than themselves: that people should be free to determine their own future.

From George Washington and the Continental Army to every generation that has defended liberty since, countless sacrifices were made to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

"Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

These are more than words from our founding documents. They are principles that helped shape a nation unlike any other in history. A nation where ordinary people can build extraordinary things through hard work, determination, and faith in a better tomorrow.

At Clark Cumberland Contracting, those ideals are at the heart of who we are. We believe in integrity. We believe in keeping our word. We believe in taking pride in our work and leaving things better than we found them. We believe the American Dream is still alive for those willing to pursue it.

Happy Father’s Day.

As America approaches its 250th birthday, I’m reminded that the greatest thing we can build isn’t a business, a house, or a legacy of our own. It’s the next generation.

The men who founded this country fought for a future they would never fully see. As fathers, we’re called to do the same. To raise sons and daughters with integrity, courage, faith, and a strong work ethic. To teach them to dream big, work hard, and leave the world better than they found it.

The America we celebrate today was built by generations who sacrificed for their children. Now it’s our turn.

Here’s to the dads showing up every day, leading by example, and helping shape the next 250 years of this great nation.

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately, but for good reason. We’ve been busy.

This new crew has been absolutely crushing it. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been installing septic systems all across Marion County, tackling drainage projects, running utilities, and keeping jobs moving.
