Another project from the summer backlog.

This one involved pouring both the concrete access and bridge deck, taking the project from the reinforced/formwork stage through the finished placement.

The bridge required extensive reinforcement and careful preparation before the concrete ever arrived, followed by the adjoining access area to create a clean, durable transition to the roadway.

Projects like this are a good reminder that Hensley’s Concrete Service does a lot more than driveways and patios. From residential flatwork to commercial and specialty concrete applications, our crew has continued tackling project after project throughout the season — even if we haven’t done the best job of getting them all onto Facebook.

Main Slab + Two Matching RV Access Pads

Another project we never got around to sharing this summer.

For this property, our crew completed the pictured slab along with two additional matching concrete pads designed for RV access.

Our social media has been a little quieter than usual lately — but the work definitely hasn’t slowed down.

Our social media manager has been sidelined with an injury through the latter part of the summer, so we haven’t been sharing nearly as many projects, progress photos, and finished jobs as we normally would.

Behind the scenes, though, the Hensley’s Concrete Service crew has been steadily moving from project to project, staying busy throughout the end of summer and into fall.

We’ve completed everything from slabs and foundations to driveways, parking areas, waterproofing-related concrete work, and multi-phase construction projects — with plenty more still on the schedule.

So if you haven’t seen us in your feed as much lately, don’t mistake quiet social media for a quiet jobsite. The crews have been working.

Another multi-phase project wrapped up. 👊

For this set of units, we completed the concrete in stages—starting with the foundation slabs and garage floors, then coming back to finish the parking area and driveway concrete once construction progressed.

This wasn’t a one-off project either. We completed the same scope for the other two sets of units in this subdivision community, handling the concrete package from the building slabs all the way through the exterior flatwork.

Another project complete. Another relationship built.

Some projects are memorable because of their size.

Others are memorable because of the people.

This North Cove project reminded us why we’ve been doing this for so many years.

What started as a driveway replacement quickly became much more. Before a single yard of concrete was placed, we redesigned drainage, regraded the property, installed a properly compacted stone base, reinforced the slab, and even coordinated the replacement of a leaking underground galvanized water service that would have eventually required cutting through a brand-new driveway.

Those are the kinds of things most people never see—but they’re exactly what determines whether a project lasts five years or fifty.

PHASE 1 COMPLETE – 154 YARDS PLACED TODAY 💪

Big day on this commercial site as our crew successfully placed 154 cubic yards of concrete for Phase 1 of this engineered, ADA-compliant parking and access improvement project.

From grading and preparation to placement and finishing, every aspect of this project has been built to meet engineered specifications while improving accessibility, safety, and long-term durability for the property.
