This position will be responsible for becoming professionally certified and advanced trained in Infrared Thermography through educational courses and hands on field training. During the training period, the candidate will work closely with highly experienced thermographers in the field to learn the different applications associated with our various service lines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform infrared inspections of electrical panels, sub-stations and other electrical equipment to ensure safe operations and PdM compliance.
· Perform infrared inspections on commercial flat roofs to detect the presence or absence of latent moisture under the roof membrane.
· Perform Infrared inspections on mechanical equipment during loss control type surveys.
· Accurately documents all-Infrared inspections and assessments in accordance with company and client standards.
COMPETENCIES
- Willingness to drive/commute to different locations predominantly in NYC and the outer 5 boroughs. Some out-of-state travel will occasionally be necessary as well.
- Eagerness to train and continuously learn to become proficient in the skills necessary to successfully perform all tasks at hand.
- Ability to interact with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to comfortably work in large MCC rooms and around other industrial electrical equipment as well as flat and low slope roofs.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / LICENSE / CERTIFICATION
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid and clean DL license (required)
- Basic computer skills (required)
- OSHA SST (40-hour certification) (preferred)
- Level 1 Infrared Inspection Certification (preferred)
