CONSUMER ALERT!

Did you get an ac unit installed in your home? Was it registered for extended warranty? 1 piece of paper is what changes 5 years of warranty coverage to 10!

Every manufacturer has this same warranty requirement.

Arete Mechanical Services LLC has come across units 6,7 and 9 years old within the past week that have been denied warranArete Mechanicalto not being registered. Costing the homeowner thousands.

Do you pay the electric bill? Are you ok if you wasted 5% of your electric bill each month due to a bad air filter or dirty coil?

Did you know that you have the skills and tools to verify if your ac unit is working well or not? (Most of the time)

Visually looking at the indoor coil almost all of the copper if not all should be sweating. If a portion of the indoor coil isn’t sweating there could be something wrong with your ac system.

The below pictures are from an ac unit that was low on charge.

***Disclaimer!
There are many factors in deciding what is wrong with a unit and this is not to say that an ac coil sweating means there’s something wrong with the ac EVERY time.

When getting serviced by a company don’t fall for the time frame pressure tactic. Some companies will try to push you to make a decision on a repair / replacement quickly. Some even will offer a discount for making a decision within 24 hours.

DO NOT feel pressured. We are here to serve you and provide options for you and we encourage you to take your time to discuss options that work best for your needs. It is a big 🚩 if a company doesn’t want other companies to go behind them and check their work or provide a second opinion.
