The Marshalltown Community School District Board of Education approved moving forward with the MHS Stadium Complex Project this summer on a 5-0 vote this evening. The base bid of $5,495,000 was awarded to Larson Construction (Independence, Iowa). An alternate bid for new visitor bleachers at a cost of $173,000 was also approved. The field turf bid of $461,080 was awarded to Sprinturf (Daniel Island, SC) and the track surface bid of $200,230 was awarded to Fisher Tracks (Boone, Iowa). The total awarded cost for the project was $6,329,310. Work is tentatively scheduled to begin on April 12, 2023.
