10 years since Standing Rock, now they go into our Sacred Sites. Smh.

On Thursday (4/30) evening 9 tribes filed a lawsuit contending that the permit the US Forest Service granted to Pete Lien & Sons Inc. violated both the National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act.

The Tribes who filed the suit include the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, Crow Creek Sioux Tribe, Lower Brule Sioux Tribe, Santee Sioux Tribe, Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, Spirit Lake Sioux Tribe, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, and Yankton Sioux Tribe.

This is the second lawsuit filed against this drilling project with the first being filed on April 2, 2026, by NDN Collective, Black Hills Clean Water Alliance, and Earthworks.

Attention Marty Community, Marty Indian School Ihanktonwan Community College and all travelers on our BIA Rt 29/6 Mile Road

There is an issue with the west part of project and the elevation of the ADA Curb & Gutter by the intersection. It will be another few weeks of construction, but our engineers are redesigning and our contractors are reconstructing that area to widen that intersection and straighten out the curb.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we want this project done right. Thank you for your patience!

YST Roads is plowing, but they are blowing over. Please be mindful while traveling and stay safe. Hopefully the wind dies down.

If you can, be shoveling around your propane tanks if you will need a fill and check on your older relatives to see if they need help with their walkway. Thank you!

The guys are out working on EMERGENCY ROUTES in the housings in all communities, there are 2 road maintenance workers plowing and the YSTHA just confirmed that they’d be out in housings as well. We appreciate your patience, Thank you

The YST roads department is opening the roads for emergency services. Please be patient for the cleanup of the housing areas. Thanks!!
