Customer stated they had tried everything to get this hydraulic cylinder apart. Sometimes knowing when to stop is the best decision—you can save yourself from damaging equipment and creating a much bigger problem in the long run.

No problem for Mamco Machining. We were able to safely disassemble the cylinder and manufacture a new end gland to get it back together properly.

We love fun facts about our industry! Here’s a good one for ya…

🛠️ The first CNC machine was built in the 1940s—and it used punched paper tape!

Before digital computers, early CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines were controlled using punched tape, a long strip of paper with holes punched in specific patterns to represent instructions. This was a revolutionary leap from manual machining, allowing for automated, repeatable precision in manufacturing.

Today’s CNC machines are incredibly advanced, using high-speed processors, 3D modeling, and even AI—but it all started with something as simple as paper with holes!

… Here at Mamco, we run a Fadal CNC (see below)… An American made machine that is solid, reliable, and perfect for getting the job done right.

🚀✨ We had an absolute blast being part of the Maryville Homecoming Parade today with our Jetsons-themed float!

We zoomed through the streets like it was 2062, tossing out tons of candy and waving to all the amazing folks who came out.

Seeing the smiles, the cheers, and all the hometown pride made it such a special evening. Thanks, Maryville, for making our first Homecoming float unforgettable! 💙
