Nothing brings a team together like a day of golf! Hydrotech and Isaacs Fluid Power spent an afternoon at Top Golf last week for a company wide outing. Between projects and deadlines, taking time to laugh and reconnect as a team matters, and it's exactly the kind of experience that keeps our culture strong.

Great food, plenty of laughs, and a handful of swings nobody will be bragging about. That's a day well spent!

In the age of AI, it isn't often you see an engineer reach for pen and paper. But sometimes, the best way to solve a complex problem is to start with a clean sheet and think it through from the ground up.

Today's challenge ... designing a pneumatic system to automate clamshell lids that protect operators during testing. The goal is simple, but critical:

👉 Allow operators to open and close the lids with ease
👉 Ensure the test program cannot run unless the lids are fully closed

It’s a reminder that good engineering isn’t just about motion. It’s about control, safety, and making sure every step happens exactly when it should, so 𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙉𝙤𝙬!

As we look forward to this Memorial Day weekend, we want to honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today and stands as a lasting testament to duty, courage, and selfless commitment. We remember not only their service, but the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry their legacy forward.

Thirty-six years is a long time to do anything…

Today we’re celebrating Phil Hutchinson’s last day with Isaacs Fluid Power as he heads into retirement. For over three decades, he played a major role in building our presence in central Indiana, helping establish Isaacs as a trusted partner for vacuum and pneumatic solutions. But what really set Phil apart was how he showed up for people. He built relationships that lasted by doing what he does best, solving problems and putting customers first.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything he’s given over the years! Enjoy retirement, Phil. We hope it’s filled with a lot less work and a whole lot more relaxing!
