In 2000, when Mike Bonnot was driving by what is now Strausser Elementary School in Jackson Township, he noticed a site trailer being pulled into the field, so he stopped to inquire about work. The man, who happened to be the general contractor, told Mike what they were planning on building, and Mike decided to make his first business pitch... And well, it worked out. (See that retaining wall behind the Strausser Elementary sign?!)

Now, Gator Construction Inc. completes 50+ projects per year with a growing group of talented individuals as employees.

Sometimes all is takes is one opportunity and a little bit of courage...

24 years ago, Gator Construction came to life through a brainstorming session in the duplex basement. While Gator has grown to be a successful commercial construction company throughout NE Ohio in that time, Mike and Laura Bonnot—owner and VP of Gator Construction Inc.—are also proud to have watched their two children grow. Outside of work, the Bonnots enjoy spending time with friends and family, relaxing by the pool, watching football, and playing with their dog named Remi.
