Feller, Finch & Associates has an immediate job opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to join our office in the role of Public Works Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a family-oriented professional consulting office. Candidate will work with a strong technical staff on various municipal and general civil-related projects.
The Public Works Engineer position is responsible for providing our public clients with exceptional customer service and detailed design on civil projects. Communication with the department manager and clients is required to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. The individual in this position must possess and grow the skill set needed to perform this position, including, but not limited to, technical knowledge of the industry, internal team coordination, self-motivation and customer service orientation. This position needs to be filled with an individual who shares the Company’s values of Collaboration, Professionalism, Faith, Integrity and Attention to Detail.
Responsibilities:
This person will manage and work directly with public clients on a variety of engineering projects. Specific duties may include the following:
• Participate in all phases of project development, design and construction
• Develop, plan and manage municipal engineering projects with full technical
responsibility
• Resolve client issues in a professional and appropriate manner
• Promote effective project ex*****on and delivery
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, drawing, specifications, and
miscellaneous contract documents and deliverables
• Supervise and coordinate the work of design staff to ensure proper and timely
ex*****on on projects
• Successfully manage and deliver projects on time and on budget
Qualifications:
• University or college degree in Civil Engineering or comparable experience in the
civil engineering field
• Customer service oriented with strong communication and client relationship
skills
• 3-5 years of engineering design work experience preferred. Candidates with less
than 3 years’ experience will be considered but must be customer service
oriented, posses strong communication skills and be self-motivated with high
energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
• Professional registration in the State of Ohio or the ability/desire to get licensed
• Experience working with AutoCAD
• Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented and be able to work under
tight deadlines and budgets
