Recent field research evaluated the impact of environmental pH management in calf housing.

Compared with untreated hutches, calves raised in SurpHace-treated environments experienced:

• Lower ammonia concentrations
• Greater starter intake
• Higher body weight
• Improved lung health scores

Ammonia doesn't just affect air quality.

Research continues to show that elevated ammonia can irritate the respiratory tract, impair local immune defenses and contribute to respiratory disease pressure in calves.
