Wet Tech was excited and honored to be contracted by the National Park Service and US Park Police to deliver new buoys and moorings for 19 buoy sites all around the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in advance of the upcoming Sail250 celebration and 4th of July celebration in New York Harbor. Our mooring crew worked tirelessly to get all of the systems installed safely and successfully to see this project through to completion. Wet Tech Energy has just deployed the newest FAD buoy for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries at the Mississippi Canyon 148 A reef-site. This buoy is 24’ in total length and 5’ diameter, and is moored in 450’ water. Can’t wait to go back out and fish this new buoy along with the new FAD buoy at MC 311.

Wet Tech is proud to announce that we were awarded the Pacific Northwest - oceans and rivers (District 13) USCG federal contract for the the maintenance and repair of their steel buoy fleet . This award adjoins Wet Tech's other federal contract for the USCG buoy fleet maintenance contract for the entire Atlantic coast, Gulf coast and California coast., so that we are responsible for the entire nation's steel buoy fleet on the Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf Coasts.

Wet Tech is excited about working with the LSU Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences department on assisting them conduct fish migration studies using our collective offshore buoy systems. The systems onboard the buoys will collect data for tracking migratory fish, endangered species and other marine life throughout locations across the Gulf of Mexico.

Whether manufacturing buoys and mooring systems, providing deployment, integration, field-maintenance and inspection services, Wet Tech has become the premier company to call for buoys, whether small regulatory buoys, weather data buoys, F.A.D. buoys, or large customized steel mooring buoys designed to provide over 100 tons of buoyancy and 250 tons of pull-through capability.

5 facts you probably didn’t know about Wet Tech:
Wet Tech’s custom buoys, mooring systems and crew successfully moored the VB 10000, the largest lift vessel ever built in the U.S., while it salvaged the capsized M/V Golden Ray for over a year in a high current, high traffic, and an ecologically sensitive river environment.

We fabricated and delivered customized Twelve (12) 16’ diameter steel buoys that support and suspend large aerator units in the USACE McCook reservoir in Chicago, moored with specially coated 4” anchor chain which have successfully provided support since 2017.

Our 50 Ton steel mooring buoys serve as floatation modules for offshore subsea fish cages in Panama and Hawaii designed for the fishing farming industry.

We fabricate specialized buoys and marine systems designed to support military subsurface operations and buoys that monitor meteorological and environmental data in deep ocean and inland waterways.

Since 2019, Wet Tech has held the Prime federal contract for the United States Coast Guard where we transport, repair, outfit and maintain all their steel ocean buoys from the NE Atlantic coast, the Mid-Atlantic, Florida, Entire Gulf Coast and California.
