Brian Fisher, a current resident of Maypearl, TX, and Owner of The Hammer Construction and a previous #1 contractor in Ellis County award recipient with his previous company. A nickname bestowed upon him from upper management in the commercial construction field for always knocking out jobs on time, within budget, and exceeding customers’ expectations. Brian has been working with his hands since h
e was a young child. Brian's father owned and operated Fisher's Plumbing, Heating, and Air for more than 30 years. From a young age, Brian learned invaluable lessons and character traits that he still carries with him. His father always told him that he could do it right the first time or do it again, the choice was his. Also, a man's word holds more value than a truck of gold on display and it should be treated as such. These simple, yet very meaningful lessons come to mind anytime Brian is working on a project. Learning that if you always strive for perfection, although unattainable, excellence can be obtained if perfection is the goal. His older brother has owned his own company for 20+ years, taught him the ropes in the residential field of construction and residential maintenance and make-readies. Although not always understanding why he was constantly working and learning skills when he was younger, he is now thankful for his father and brother's teaching of skills and life lessons. Brian was born in Dallas, TX but grew up in the DeSoto area. He moved to Red Oak, TX, when he was 14 years old. While growing up in DeSoto, TX, God blessed him with a football coach that mentored him and taught him invaluable life lessons. His father, brother, and coach together created the man he is today. Brian has been married to his high school sweetheart for 15+ years, and God has blessed them with four boys. He coached his eldest son and his teammates for eight years with tremendous success in football and baseball. Formally featured in the North Ellis County Now Magazine for his accomplishments and his boys' achievements. Writer, Lisa Bell, noted him saying, "I want them to be leaders, have pride and know-how to beat adversity." For the last ten years, Brian has worked for other business owners in the commercial field, honing his skills in various trades and building on the lessons he learned as a young man. Always working his way up from the bottom, exceeding expectations, and making a name for himself. His last stint of employment, he rose from a maintenance tech to a lead technician, to a team lead managing up to ten other techs while still taking care of his daily work, and finally up to a project manager in the commercial construction field and facility maintenance. He has earned every recommendation and promotion with his own hands, which is very important to him. Not that the work was unfulfilling, but coming from a line of self-made entrepreneurs, he has always embodied a desire to own his own business and continue his mentors' success and leave a legacy for his own children. He has chosen to continue to pursue his dream by opening his own construction company. Honesty, integrity, character, and dedication to excellence are the essence of Brian's morals and The Hammer Constructions cornerstone of which the company will build and grow from.
