In support of the U.S. Army and the continued fight for our freedoms, Choctaw Defense is the exclusive manufacturer of the Army’s M1095 Series 5 Ton Medium Tactical Vehicle Trailer (MTVT). Personnel at our McAlester facility are completing refurbishment tasks including: assessments, grinding, welding, painting, electrical and mechanical rework/assembly. Before and after the road test of each M1095 Trailer, Quality Assurance personnel complete required inspections.

Beginning in 2015, Choctaw Defense Munitions has now grown from one press to currently in mid-2018, having three Baird 325 bullet presses and one large Baird 437 bullet press for commercial and military munition production. The large Baird 437 press produces rifle projectiles for 308 / 7.62 X 51.

Scholarship / Internship Graduate

Choctaw Defense recognizes the graduation achievements of Tanner Williams with an Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing. On 4/21/17, Tanner became the First Graduate from Choctaw Defense – Choctaw Nation – OSU-IT Scholarship/Internship Program for Manufacturing.
Starting January 2016, he began the sponsorship program while he continued his studies at OSU-IT (Okmulgee Campus). In January 2017, Tanner began working in the McAlester Choctaw Defense – Machine Shop for the On-Site Intern Requirement of the program.
As a Machine Operator at Choctaw Defense, Tanner is applying the knowledge he gained at OSU-IT, to strengthen his CNC/Manufacturing abilities which include: CNC Set-Up, Programming, Trouble Shooting, and Operation while also working closely with our Quality Assurance Teams.

Choctaw Defense representatives attended Raytheon's annual Paveway Supplier Conference earlier this week. During the presentations, our Choctaw Defense team was recognized for its excellence in delivering a quality product on time and for its efforts in 2016 for the "surge" ramp up. The team has exceeded production goals & will produce over 5,000 panel assemblies in the month of January 2017. This is 2.5x its previous record.
