My name is Michael Seyms, and I started my own business when I was 11 years old, just fixing fences, changing oil, and mowing lawns. I always grew up around tools and machinery, and became serious about building when I was 17. I got my contractor's license at 23, started Seyms Construction, and have been building custom homes ever since. I spent many years in Sonoma County and have moved my family

to Siskiyou County to be closer to the mountains. I have built homes from the foundation up to the roof, and everything in between. I specialize in finish work. Building has always been my passion, and I take pride in my work. I don't cut corners, I measure with precision, and I take pride in my finish work. But above all else, I value honesty and integrity. My clients are always treated with respect, and I always come on time and ready to work. I married my wife Amy in 2014, and we have two girls aged 4 and 7. Their blonde hair is as curly as their dad's. We relocated to McCloud from Sebastopol in 2021, and have since spent time together camping, fishing, hiking, and enjoying being together. I have loved becoming a part of the Siskiyou community.

Happy birthday Michael Seyms! Let’s celebrate the owner and operator of Seyms Construction. A man who put on the “birthday hat” his daughters gave him today, and wore it as he headed off to work. A man who literally cuddled with a hammer instead of a teddy bear when he was a child, because that’s how much he loved to build. And still does.
