This is the cleanest our house has been since we moved in eight weeks ago!! (Thanks to Mrs. Jane for coming and cleaning our house for us!!)

There’s still lots of work to be done. Nothing on the walls and things still look a little unfinished…. And then, there’s the outside 😩🙄.

But we’re SO happy to finally be in our own house and make it exactly what we want over the years!! ❤️

We’re not “done” but all anyone says to that is, “you’re never done with your house.” To which we say “well $hit” 😂🤣

It’s chaos, it’s messy, it’s not EXACTLY how we wanted it, but we’re here and it’s ours and we love it (so far, only two days in…)

Gas on demand hot water heater and washer and dryer installed. Mirrors added to master bath. Basement floors painted and sealed!!! Little things are starting to make a huge difference!!

It’s finally starting to look like a house.

We added a buffet from old kitchen cabinets that had been in Poppa Lee’s work shed for several years. We added a faux beam to the mater bedroom, finished the vanities in that room and set the bathtub and faucet.
We finished the treads on the stairs. Added invisible support for the countertops in the island for a nice size breakfast bar. Countertops are in, all baseboards and door jams in and primed ,all bathrooms plumbed, and just yesterday the FLOORS WERE FINISHED!!

We’re hoping to be in this ole girl in about 3 weeks… but it’ll probably be five… 😂

Uploading some progressive photos. We’ve finally gotten the hardwoods installed and put in kitchen cabinets. Finishing up on the two upstairs bathrooms … we’re finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel!

These four photos are taken from the same location, all at different stages of the remodeling process. It’s fun to see the progression. Soon we’ll be adding hardwood floors and a kitchen and sitting area to this view.

The house is still a work in progress. But the Purple Lily Magnolia is blooming... so there’s that. Also, started on window trim! Very exciting.

We took an old to***co barn at my folk's property and made it into a rental. See the progress!
