Project success starts with communication for Michael. Creating clear, consistent collaboration that keeps work flowing and teams aligned from start to finish. He believes strong planning, structured coordination, and setting clear expectations are what keep both schedule and quality on track.

When it comes to decision-making, Michael focuses on solutions that move projects forward—like finding ways to reroute utilities and infrastructure to save both time and cost while keeping progress steady.

To Michael, building it right is simple: take ownership. Treat every project like it’s your own, make decisions with that level of care, and hold yourself accountable every step of the way.

“...IF THEY’RE SUCCESSFUL, I’M SUCCESSFUL AND IN TURN POGUE IS SUCCESSFUL.”

For Nick Williams, the past 17 years have been enjoyable for more than one reason; it’s the people. From the field to the office, he believes the team here is second to none, creating an environment that feels more like family than work. He takes pride not only in delivering projects that serve the next generation, but in building up the next generation of builders along the way.

Nick leads by example, earning respect through a can-do attitude and a willingness to step in wherever he’s needed. To him, the greatest success isn’t personal recognition—it’s seeing his team succeed. By supporting those on the front lines and making sure they have what they need to excel, he knows that when they win, Pogue wins.

Pogue’s God First value isn’t just a phrase for Lisa Mills; it’s the foundation for everything.

This summer, Lisa celebrates 7 years at Pogue. In her time here, she’s seen how it shapes the way teams support one another, serve clients, and bring integrity to every project. It’s what makes Pogue’s culture feel different. Rooted in purpose and guided by something bigger than the work itself.

Being employee-owned adds another layer of meaning. To Lisa, it’s more than a structure, it’s a responsibility. A chance to be a good steward, take ownership, and contribute to something she truly believes in every day.

What truly sets Pogue apart, in her eyes, is the people—a team that works hard, supports each other, and takes time to connect, creating a culture where individuals feel valued, respected, and part of something greater than just a job.

For Tyler Roberts, being people focused starts with intention. Creating an environment where individuals feel valued, heard, and empowered to do their best work. Over his 7 years with Pogue, he’s seen how strong teams are built on trust, communication, and giving people the confidence to succeed.

When it comes to project success, Tyler sees it as a shared achievement, where planning, teamwork, and clear communication come together to deliver for the client and reflect the effort of everyone involved.

To Tyler, building it right means taking pride in every detail, holding yourself accountable, and delivering a final product that performs exactly as intended. It’s about doing the work the right way, from start to finish.

For Tommy Freiley, feeling valued at Pogue isn’t about a single moment, it’s built into the culture every day. Over his 11 years with Pogue, that consistency is what stood out most and what keeps people here. As a General Superintendent, he knows the real impact isn’t in one big decision, but in showing up day in and day out, removing obstacles, and making sure his team never feels like they’re on their own. To Tommy, building it right comes down to one thing: integrity—doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching.

Yesterday, we stepped away from the noise of the day and came together as a team for the National Day of Prayer.

Faith has long been one of the core values that shapes our company culture, and we’re grateful for opportunities to reflect on what grounds us and how we show up for our people, partners, and communities.

Construction Safety Week is a reminder that we’re All In Together!
At Pogue, that starts with a simple belief: Safety = People-First

Every decision we make, every plan we build, and every action we take is grounded in protecting the people around us. This year’s focus—Recognize, Respond, Respect—reflects how we show up on our job sites each day. When we commit to these principles together, we create a culture where everyone looks out for one another and goes home safe.
