The business was formed due to lack of water and electricity in some parts of Africa and the world in general. "I decided to come up with sustainable and easy ways or products which will benefit both rich and poor communities around the world, products that are green and affordable to a common person", said the founder Mr G N. Mind you the business is 100% owned by a Motswana entrepreneur based in Texas. The love for Africa influenced him to come up with such ideas and the rest is history. The idea is also to work with governments in providing services and programs such as rain water harvesting and solar energy to rural developments. Our international partners who are certified manufacturers and distributors share the same sentiments, making it easier for Easy Green to deliver high efficiency, low-carbon and environmental friendly products/ ideas/ services. Lets look at the meaning of Sustainability: It is the ability to maintain a certain status or process in existing systems, for example water conservation and taking advantage of solar energy. Many people think that living sustainably means making sacrifices but, in fact, most practices for sustainability can actually enhance human life.
People who observe greener practices can dramatically lower their bills whether in rural or urban settings, in the long run, living healthier lives as well as gaining more benefits from nature. Long term Vision for Botswana (Vision 2016) is just around the corner thereof our company took initiatives in coming up with sustainable ideas or products which will not only benefit the community but also the government. This applications will help enhance productivity and raise standards of living, whether it is for chicken and livestock raising, garden irrigation. For example for rural application, chicken farms- solar system can also supply lighting (using low power long lasting LED lights) to ensure chickens feed efficiently. Agriculture will be promoted because these can dramatically increase yields and quality of crops/ livestock and lift the quality of life. In urban setting, the solar power can also be power generation for small projects. It can also be used during power cuts/ shortages/ camps & lack of access to electricity. Instead of candles or paraffin lamps which can be dangerous our systems such as lanterns can be used. On the other hand harvested rain water can be used to wash cars, water flowers/ garden which will help save the so called bills. Our products are referred to as do-it-yourself, easy to carry, install/ operate and are less% maintenance.
