Some parts won't be fed by a traditional vibratory bowl. Here's how we handle that.

Not every component in medical device assembly is the same size, weight, or orientation. Traditional vibratory bowl feeders work for consistent geometries. When the part changes or when you need to handle multiple geometries on one cell, they stop working.

On Frame B at Tessy Automation, we're running FlexiBowl technology from ARS Automation to handle exactly that challenge.

Vision-guided flexible feeding. Reduced changeover. The ability to adapt to the part instead of forcing the part to adapt to the feeder.

Many good points here from Plastics. This topic also illustrates how valuable it is to have a custom automation shop vertically integrated within the production supply chain. This seamless interaction can save $10s of thousands of dollars, if not more. What else saves money is if the automation partner has a Solutions Center with scaled R&D capabilities that allows them to test functionality ahead of production, avoiding costly errors later and saving time.
