If you’re a caffeine connoisseur like myself and love a good cup of coffee, there is a coffee roaster that is just a couple miles from my shop that single-handedly roasts the best coffee I’ve had in my entire life. The best thing about their coffee is they get it direct from the farmers and roast it themselves, right here in Mechanicsburg! If you aren’t local, they also have an online store where you can order whole beans or pre-ground coffee. One thing I can promise you is once you drink Hemisphere Coffee Roasters coffee, you won’t want anything else! ☕️

I wrapped up a project in the early hours this morning that I’ve been needing for a while. I didn’t want the entire convenience package when I bought my new Haas Automation, Inc. , but still wanted the tool rack that came with it. So I designed this tool rack that mounts to the stock location on the mini mill and had the correct spacing so I could use my tool tags without the tool tags hitting each other.

That’s not enough to hold all of my tools, so I also came up with some wall mounts, that I need to finish hanging, to hold the rest of my tools that have the same spacing allowing me to utilize the same tool tags.

Personally, with all the stainless steel features on the new mills, I think the stainless tool holder looks better than their powder coated version.

I wasn’t able to find anything like this on the market as of right now, so I may make up some additional mill mount tool racks and put them on the website for anyone that’s interested. If you’re in the same boat that I am and didn’t get the convenience package but want a tool rack, shoot me a DM so I can gauge interest.

Knocked out a small batch of XS650 foot clutch hubs for Jason Hetfield over the weekend.

Jason came to me with a rough napkin sketch and a vision, so I took it and ran with it. Now that the process is completely dialed in, setting up multi-op production is going to be seamless.

Picked up another 1300 last night! Snagged it from a gentleman a little over an hour from here.

She definitely needs some TLC. I’m going to run through all the classic maintenance items, specifically the exact stuff most people neglect on these bikes, and strip off all the old, crusty accessories and replace them to get her looking like new.

I’m thinking about shooting a mini YouTube series on getting this old X back in prime, street worthy shape before handing the keys over to my dad. It’d be a cool way to document the process and give you guys a solid reference if you’re picking up or building one yourself.
