Please be aware of the fact that you MUST do an inspection of your own Air Conditioning or Heat Pump System. Look and listen for unusual noise, hot spots on the top of the outdoor unit, damage to the coil on the outdoor unit, burnt smells or any other unusual function. If you question the operation then shut it down and call us for immediate care. If all seems good, then wait for your fall inspection and we will go over your system as usual, and repair any questionable areas.

Damage from Hurricane Irene has caused problems with Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps from water damage, burnt motors, fried circuit boards and blown capacitors.

When the lights flicker or go out, and the power is finally restored, there is quite a "surge" and if the thermostat is "calling for cooling" the system tries to start under that "surge" and damage most likely occurs.
