Representing Karnes & Stanley Heating & Air in yesterday's Mechanicsville Christmas parade was another great privilege and experience. I would like to thank everyone who helped plan and decorate, as well as all participants, including parents who dropped off and picked up. It means the world to us to be able to show up each year and thank our community for their support.

We learned today that we won 1st place in “Best Commercial Motorized Unit” in the Mechanicsville Christmas Parade. Congratulations to everyone that helped design, set up, and participate to help earn this honor! We couldn’t have done this without each and every individual that had a helping hand.

The annual Karnes & Stanley Christmas dinner last night was amazing. Incredible night spending time together and recapping the year. In our industry there is no such thing as 9 to 5 work days, especially in our prime months. These men and women are so passionate about their work, long hours doesn’t matter, only taking care of the customer does. We really appreciate our employees and their significant others for their understanding that when it’s go time, it’s go time. We are so lucky to have a true family oriented company!

It was another amazing experience representing Karnes & Stanley in this year’s Mechanicsville Christmas parade. Thank you to everyone that participated and thank you to all the parents that allowed their children to ride on the float. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s continued support. If you live in the Ashland area, your local ABC store has A/C again. We installed 6 temporary portable A/C units yesterday, and strategically placed them around the store to keep the doors open while we wait 25 weeks for their new 20.0-ton roof-top package unit to be produced. We had to trace power to find 6 dedicated circuits, to prevent tripping breakers and exhaust each unit above the ceiling. Their employees were so happy and relieved to see us show up with these and to be working in A/C again after we left.

We are so proud of these two. Hayden Bowles, and Caden Kapataidakis. They joined our team last summer as Juniors in high school going through the Hanover High School apprenticeship program. The same type of apprenticeship program Brad and I did in high school. It’s been so fun watching both of them progress through their senior year working with us every other day through their block scheduling and watching them learn and grow. Both of them graduate from high school in a week, and they will join our team full time to grow and prosper tremendously in this industry. Brad and I can’t wait to watch them flourish.

Superior customer service skills
Possess 2+ years skilled mechanical experience in maintenance, inspection, repair, installation and alteration of HVAC systems and related equipment.
Demonstrate ability to diagnose and properly repair electrical and mechanical issues.
Perform maintenance and routine servicing of HVAC equipment.
Maintain related records concerning time, labor, and materials.
Demonstrate responsible behavior and a willingness to work cooperatively with others.
Fluent English-speaking and writing skills required.
Possess a clear driving record with a valid Virginia driver’s license.
Willingness to work irregular and extended hours, including overtime.
High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
