A northeastern U.S. power station restored a severely eroded saltwater circulating pump instead of replacing it. After the damaged guide vanes were reinforced, METALCLAD CeramAlloy was used to rebuild the vanes to their original dimensions and protect the entire component. This outdoor fountain is located in the dining courtyard of a Pennsylvania restaurant housed in a building dating back to the 1700s. After years of service, the fountain’s tiles were coming loose. Matching replacements were difficult to find, and previously replaced tiles did not remain secure for long.

The fountain was drained, all remaining tiles were removed, and the concrete surface was manually prepared with a grinding wheel. Two coats of CeramAlloy CL+AC were then applied to create a durable, seamless surface with resistance to erosion and corrosion.
