Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist for our milling department to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. As a Milling Machinist, you will work with a variety of materials and contribute to the manufacturing process from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce parts with tight tolerances.
• Ability to read G and M code.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Usage of a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of your machine.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and come up with solutions
• Ability to process all necessary documentation and paperwork for a job.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform any other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.
• Proven experience as a Mill Machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
• Proficiency in operating CNC milling machines.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
• Ability to make program adjustments at the machine.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Effective problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
