46 schools worldwide. One New York location that had to get it right. 18,000 square feet taken down and rebuilt with new HVAC, lighting, flooring, millwork, glass, and full furnishing. All coordinated. All delivered before the first day back at school. That’s our standard, and it has been for over 30 years.

Bathrooms and corridors are where school quietly reveals the stands.

They are the most used spaces, and the least forgiving.

Clean lines. Durable materials that don’t wear down midyear. Lighting that feels considered, not fluorescent. Layouts that move students efficiently between classes.

How will this hold up after thousands of students pass through? Will this still look right a year from now? Does this reflect the standard the school is trying to set?

The spaces in between matter just as much as the ones you learn in.

Some of the most successful projects are the ones that feel almost uneventful once they’re underway. At Salle, a lot of the effort went into coordination, sequencing, and preparation long before anything visible happened. When that groundwork is solid, the project moves forward smoothly and most people never have to think about why.
