After just about two years, the approval finally came through and the process is officially underway. This is a unique and exciting one we’ve been waiting a long time to get started on heading into the fall.
Diego E. Fuschetto and his team really set the bar with this design. The architecture is bold, clean and incredibly refined, and we’re excited to take on the challenge of bringing it to life.
A project like this can look incredible in a rendering, but the real work is figuring out how to fabricate and assemble a structure of this scale while keeping every seam, intersection and connection as clean as possible.
No exposed screws. No visible welds. No unnecessary hardware taking away from the design.
That’s where SEK puts in the time.
Our goal is to create the cleanest, sleekest and most seamless finished product possible while working closely with Diego’s team to ensure this massive structure is engineered and fabricated to handle everything the Oyster Bay harborfront environment — and the future of this home — has in store.

Simplicity, crafted to perfection.

Designed and fabricated by **SEK Designs for Kean Development**, this custom gate is one of many smaller components that came together as part of a massive luxury residence recently completed in Old Westbury.

The design is intentionally clean and understated—**powder-coated aluminum framing paired with clear cedar**, finished with premium concealed hinges and a high-end handle and lockset selected specifically for this application.

It’s the details you may not immediately notice that make the difference. Clean lines, concealed hardware, precise fabrication, and materials selected to perform outdoors while complementing the architecture of the property.

This one-of-a-kind range hood combines satin stainless steel with high-polished, mirror-finished stainless accents, creating contrast, depth, and a level of refinement that turns a functional element into a true architectural centerpiece.
Like a supermodel hitting the runway with that one piece of jewelry that lights up the room, this hood commands attention the moment you enter the kitchen.
The sculpted curves, polished details, and massive proportions were all carefully developed to complement this incredible artisan kitchen without competing with the surrounding stonework and cabinetry.

Speranza Food Studio | Woodbury, Long Island | Circa 2007

Some projects don't last. The work does.

Halfway through construction, this round passageway failed code inspection. There was no time for a redesign cycle, so we solved it on site. Back in 2007, SEK Designs designed and built these guards from start to finish, before we used computer programs and before we had our fancy machines. The entire design was drawn full-scale on a sheet of plywood in the middle of the job site.

The result was custom powder-coated steel guards in purple and green, with stainless cables tensioned to follow every inch of the curve. Every panel was measured, cut and built by hand to fit the arch.

Speranza wasn't open long, but this is still some of the work we're proudest of. It was one of the projects that planted the seed for SEK Designs, and that same problem-solving and craftsmanship goes into every job we take on today.

Built to last, even when the business isn't.

We designed the fix full-scale on plywood right on the job site, with no computer programs and no fancy machines, then built every curved steel and stainless cable panel by hand. I don’t have much to say about this one—it speaks for itself.
I’m not usually one to publicly compliment the work coming out of our own shop, but our team absolutely outdid themselves on this project.

This set of custom estate gates is a true mark of craftsmanship—bringing together fabrication, design talent, proportion, balance, and an obsessive attention to detail.
From the sweeping curved profile and riveted steelwork to the integrated wood panels, custom hardware, and every carefully considered connection, nothing here was an afterthought.
Show-stopping. Breathtaking. Functional art.

This one definitely goes down as a favorite. 🖤✨

Truly one of a kind, and nothing else compares. This is why you come to SEK Designs.

We started with nothing but a clean canvas and the freedom to paint the picture. The client knew what we were capable of without limitations, and I'd say it paid off.

🔸 The range hood was designed around a Prestige Inline Blower Kit supplied by in Huntington, which gives it that open look above the hood vents you just can't get with a traditional hood blower.
🔸 A matte black powder coated finish, complemented by custom made cable uprights connected to brass brackets and finished with brass rivets.

It was an absolute pleasure working with the team at on this project. 🖤

What we have here is an outdoor pool bar that disappears when it's not in use. White Oak's attention to detail made it happen: they built a hinged flap that moves with the door and seals the horizontal siding, so it closes to a seamless finish. 👀

Open, it's the ultimate poolside bar. Closed, it's just a clean wall. 🍸

**Oyster Bay Project — Recently Completed**

It was a pleasure collaborating with **Diego Fuschetto Architecture** on the design and ex*****on of this custom dual-stringer, four-story floating staircase.

When the right team comes together, even the most complex challenges become manageable. From the earliest design stages through fabrication and installation, our teams worked seamlessly to solve every detail and keep the project moving forward.

The staircase was designed to appear as though it floats around a glass-enclosed elevator that travels from the basement through all four floors and up to the rooftop, where the home opens to a breathtaking view overlooking the Oyster Bay Sound.

We also had the pleasure of creating several other exciting custom elements throughout the home, which we’ll be sharing over the next few weeks.

A truly unique project made possible through strong collaboration, thoughtful design, and precise ex*****on.

Sometimes the simplest requests are still worth sharing.

Team SEK was asked to design and fabricate a custom swing-arm mount for this 85-inch flat-screen TV while complementing the building’s exposed concrete and industrial aesthetic.

During the normal workday, the screen sits neatly against the wall and remains visible for scheduling and company updates. When it is time for a board meeting, the custom arm allows the entire screen to swing out and face the conference table for a clear view from anywhere in the room.

A straightforward idea, custom-built to make the space work exactly the way the client needed.
