Sr. Electrical Engineer
• Develop job specifications when needed
• Perform analysis of jobs to create a sequence of operation
• Work with the customer to develop a set of Approval drawings
• Use AutoCAD to create drawings
• Coordinate with purchasing of pricing for components for jobs
• Purchase and track parts required for the job
• Develop a PLC program for the job including configuration, comment development, and ladder logic
• Develop an HMI program for the job including configuration, screen development, and PLC logic
• Coordinating with site personnel to ensure proper installation is performed
• Site commissioning including debugging of electrical installation, HMI/PLC configurations, and operational capability
• Performing onsite training with maintenance personnel
• Reading/making time charts to translate into the PLC program
• Manage subcontractors for engineering in-house and on-site
• Perform electrical checkout of complete equipment in the panel shop
• Electrical Engineering Quotations
• Propose Budget and Engineering Changes
• Purchase of Electrical Parts
• Hiring of other engineering personnel
• Purchase of Software
• Arrange travel plans for site checks, meetings, and commissioning
• Coordinate with customers on meetings, and changes for job
• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent program
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint
• 10+ years of experience
• Proficient with PLC5, PLC500, Control Logix 5000, Omron CX (CS1/CJ2), Mitsubishi (A-series/Q-series), GE Machine Edition (90-30/90-70), Sharp, Yaskawa, Pilz, and Toyopuc PLC software
• Proficient with Allen Bradley HMI (600/1000/1000+/Panelview Plus), Omron (NS), Mitsubishi GOT (800/900/1000/2000), Proface, and Cimplicity HMI software.
• Proficient with RSNetworks (Ethernet/Controlnet/DeviceNet), and Omron CX Integrator. Omron Network Configurator, Mitsubishi, and other network configuration software.
• Proficient in multiple VFD architectures (AB, Omron, Mitsubishi, Fuji, Yaskawa, et. al.)
• Ability to self-train in new software without going through a formal training session
• Self-motivated to complete jobs without having to be managed
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work extended hours when needed and be able to work at night or weekends
• Experience with Automotive Conveyors (Chain/EMS/Friction/et al.)
• Japanese or Spanish speaking a plus
