The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, and warmer weather is coming our way! Here are some tips to help get your HVAC system in top shape for the warm weather ahead:

Rotate your ceiling fan blades: Ceiling fans and A/C's work well together. The fan will distribute cool air throughout your room, allowing you to turn your thermostat up a few degrees. If you switched your fan rotation in the winter, make sure you switch it back for summer!

Clean your filter: A blocked filter can inhibit airflow. This makes it difficult for cool air to reach your living space(s). During spells of extremely hot weather and heavy air conditioning use, it's recommended to replace your filter every month.

Did you know that the level of humidity in your home can impact your health, comfort, and even your HVAC system's performance? Here's what you need to know about optimal indoor humidity levels:

The ideal indoor humidity level is between 30% and 50%. Anything below 30% can cause dry skin, respiratory issues, and other health problems. Anything above 50% can lead to mold growth, dust mites, and other allergens. To maintain optimal indoor humidity levels, you can use a humidifier or dehumidifier. A humidifier can add moisture to the air during dry winter months, while a dehumidifier can remove excess moisture during humid summer months.

If you're unsure about the humidity levels in your home, contact our team of experts for a professional assessment. We can help you select the right humidifier or dehumidifier for your needs and budget, and ensure that your HVAC system is performing optimally to keep you comfortable and healthy all year round.
