Jim joined Leadership Lafayette because of his love for the Oxford community and his desire to learn more about the people, businesses, and organizations that make it so awesome.

One of his favorite parts of the program has been meeting small business owners who invest in our community and witnessing the incredible support behind new businesses.

Fun fact about Jim: He recently learned how to be a “musher” — a driver of a dog sled! 🐕❄️🏔️

Big news for our team 🎉 RKA Construction is proud to share that we are 1 of only 28 builders in the nation to have earned the prestigious Certified Master Building Professional (CMBP) designation through the National Association of Home Builders. This certification represents the highest level of professionalism in the home building industry, recognizing excellence in craftsmanship, leadership, and commitment to continued education. We’re honored to be among this select group and even more motivated to keep raising the bar for our clients, partners, and community!

This custom build on Pickwick Lake is coming together beautifully. Framing is complete, windows are installed, siding and roofing is underway, and the interior spaces are starting to take shape. We can’t wait to share more updates as this project continues to progress.

As the semester comes to a close, we’re saying thank you and goodbye to Luis, our Preconstruction Intern! Luis joined us this spring while studying Engineering Management with a concentration in Construction Management at Christian Brothers University, and he’s made a strong impact supporting both our residential and commercial teams.

Here’s a little more about Luis and his experience at RKA:

What I gained during my internship:
“During my internship, I have gained experience in creating estimates in Residential and Commercial Projects. From learning how to perform take-offs, to coming up with detail estimates. I have also learned how the bid process works for commercial projects, the requirements each bid form has and how to interpret plans in a more manner professional and detail way. Lastly, I’ve learned what it truly means to be part of RKA construction team. All the hard work that is being put in the office to be able to have a successful construction experience not only for the client, but for everyone else."

Luis, we appreciate everything you’ve contributed this semester and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

Delta Specialty Hospital recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of their new Outpatient Treatment Facility. We’re proud to have built a space that reflects a supportive, welcoming environment for those receiving care and the professionals who serve them.

From light-filled interiors to carefully considered details throughout, every element of this project was crafted with intention. It’s a privilege to be a part of a project like this that will have a lasting impact in our community.
