HAPPY LABOR DAY! Did you know that Labor Day was made a national holiday by President Grover Cleveland in 1894? The first Labor Day parade was on September 5, 1882 in New York City. In the US 150 million people are expected to eat hamburgers on Labor Day compared to 109 million who will eat hot dogs. Most people consider Labor Day the end of summer, but this year summer ends on September 23, giving us 19 more days of summer after the holiday. We hope you all have a great holiday and stay safe.

A special Thank You to all our great team members who have been coming to work on critical infrastructure parts during this time of crisis. Your efforts have helped our nation. Working with the critical suppliers you have helped to keep delivery trucks on the road delivering much needed medical and food supplies and kept farm equipment in production so there is food to deliver to grocery stores. We at Donato Enterprises, Inc. are honored to be designated as essential suppliers to our customers who produce critical products for the infrastructure of our country. Our customer’s products are used in transportation equipment, medical equipment, farming machinery, and fire trucks and emergency vehicles. These products all help to keep us safe and well during times of crisis. We are constantly taking measures to keep our employees safe and healthy, including additional sanitizing of all frequently touched surfaces and spending lots of time reorganizing the plant to allow for the necessary six feet of “social distance” at all times. We are also investigating ways to put our 3-D printers to use printing masks for donation to area hospitals. We pray for our nation, and the entire world, and hope that we all weather this pandemic quickly. Stay safe, stay healthy.
