We may have lost the Queen of Country last month, but Nashville has plans to honor the late Dolly Parton by naming the Nashville International Airport after her.

Parton, known and loved for her songwriting, singing, and acting as well as her philanthropic spirit, passed away on Aug. 25. Fans came out in huge numbers to support the name change as a way to honor their beloved country star, prompting Tenn. Gov. Bill Lee to announce on Aug. 28 plans to rename the airport. https://on.today.com/4y7CvZi

As an engineer and entrepreneur, ABES Engineering CEO Emmanuel Tuombe, P.E. was especially intrigued by the story of Gustave Eiffel, the man responsible for Paris' Eiffel Tower. This summer, Emmanuel visited the tower and shared his thoughts about the monumental task of building this amazing structure and Eiffel's story of entrepreneurship.

During a recent project for the City of Parsons, TN, ABES Contracting installed two pressure control valves between the plant and the water tank, a project that included the installation of 2,000 feet of 8-inch water main and connecting to an existing HDPE pipe that was previously bored under a creek by another contractor.
