Want to save more of your money for things you want this year? Try out these tips to spend less on energy. Most of these are small changes but if you do them consistently it can add up to huge savings over the course of the year.

1. Use LED Bulbs. They use at least 75% less energy, and last up to 25 times longer than incandescent lighting.
2. Use High Efficiency Appliances. Heating alone accounts for 29% of your utility bill. High efficiency appliances save you money in the long term.
3. Add full water bottles to the top tank of your toilet. You'll save water each time you flush!
4. Use a programmable thermostat. It is estimated you'll save 10% on your heating and cooling.
5. Change your HVAC filter regularly. A clean air filter helps increase efficiency by maximizing airflow.
6. Do annual furnace and ac maintenance. Every season that you use your units they get a little less efficient. Annual maintenance helps it run as efficiently as possible.
