Rudolph and Sletten’s VDC team provides in-house reality capture services through laser scanning across active construction projects. This capability has been in place since prior to the COVID era and is supported by thousands of hours of hands-on experience capturing, processing, and analyzing point cloud data in the field.

By maintaining this work internally, we deliver accurate site information more quickly and consistently, without reliance on third-party vendors. This improves responsiveness to field conditions, strengthens coordination between project teams, and enhances confidence in installed work through reliable, verifiable documentation.

A big thank you to our 2026 interns!
We’re grateful for the energy, curiosity, and hard work this group brought to Rudolph and Sletten this summer. From our jobsites to our offices, they jumped in, learned from our teams, took on new challenges, and made a lasting impact along the way.
We appreciate everything you contributed this summer and hope the experience, relationships, and lessons you gained at R&S stay with you as you continue your careers.
Thank you for spending your summer with us, and best of luck in the year ahead!

Last week, team members from across Rudolph and Sletten's LA/OC region gathered at one of our large healthcare projects in Los Angeles for a Cal/OSHA Visit & Preparedness Training led by Aston Ling, Senior Safety Engineer, and Levon Karamanukyan, Associate Safety Engineer, of Cal/OSHA Consultation.

The session covered Cal/OSHA investigations, Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, common construction citations, consultation resources, and how our teams can be better prepared in the field.

Twenty R&S team members participated, including project executives, project managers, superintendents, jobsite safety coordinators, and field engineers.

Training opportunities like this are part of our ongoing commitment to a proactive safety culture, giving our teams the knowledge and resources to plan ahead, stay prepared, and keep safety at the forefront of every project.

Strong coordination makes a difference, especially when building on an active healthcare campus.
At UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland Modernization New Hospital Building, our team is working closely with UCSF Facilities Operations and project partners to coordinate complex construction activities while minimizing impacts to ongoing hospital operations.

It’s a great example of the collaboration, communication, and proactive planning it takes to keep a complex healthcare project moving forward.

After months of detailed planning and coordination, Phase 4 demolition is officially underway at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

Reaching this milestone required a complex series of utility cutovers to reroute and maintain critical hospital services, all completed without a single unplanned outage. That effort allowed demolition to begin right on schedule and represents the culmination of years of planning and teamwork.

Thank you to the entire project team, including NSJV, Bergelectric, UMEC, AMG, Scripps Health, and Jacobs, for the collaboration and commitment that made this milestone possible.

This national recognition reflects the teamwork, expertise, and commitment that went into the project from planning through construction.

Congratulations to the entire project team on this well-deserved achievement!

One Million Hours. Zero Lost-Time Injuries.

One of our jobsites recently reached an incredible safety milestone: one million work hours with zero lost-time injuries.
Behind that number are thousands of decisions made every day by the people in the field. Planning the work before it begins. Speaking up when something doesn’t look right. Stopping to address a hazard. Looking out for the person working next to you.

This milestone belongs to every team member and trade partner who contributed to those one million hours. It reflects a shared commitment to making safety part of how we work, not just something we talk about.

Reaching one million hours is an accomplishment worth celebrating, but it doesn’t change the goal: making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible. Now, we carry that same commitment forward.

One team. One goal. Everyone goes home safe.

As a Platinum Sponsor of the DBIA Western Pacific Region, Rudolph & Sletten was excited to take part in The Owner Advisor Advantage, hosted by DBIA Western Pacific Region in partnership with CMAA Northern California.

Rudolph & Sletten’s Kyle Glankler, DBIA, moderated the discussion alongside Mike Meredith of Vanir Construction Management, Nick Rossi of the California Department of General Services, Wesley Ramirez of UC Davis Health, and James Pease of UCSF Health.

The panel shared valuable perspectives on the evolving role of the Owner Advisor and how strong owner representation can help strengthen collaboration, align project teams, manage risk, and bring greater certainty to increasingly complex design-build projects.

Thank you to DBIA Western Pacific Region, CMAA Northern California, our panelists, and everyone who joined us for a great discussion!

VDC frequently conducts on-site training sessions for Revizto Site with our field teams. The goal is to carry the same model-based collaboration used in preconstruction into active construction, helping improve coordination and keep issue tracking and decision-making connected in one place. This approach supports faster resolution of field issues, clearer communication between office and field, and more consistent documentation of decisions as projects progress.

The UC Davis Health Folsom Medical Care Clinic marks the first phase of a growing healthcare campus that will expand access to high-quality care for the Folsom and El Dorado Hills communities for years to come.

From early collaboration in the Big Room and innovative use of virtual reality during design to overcoming supply chain challenges and maintaining an exceptional safety record, this project is a testament to what can be accomplished when owners, designers, builders, and trade partners work together toward a shared vision.

We're proud to have partnered with UC Davis Health, LPAS, Boulder Associates, Jacobs, and our outstanding trade partners to bring this important facility to life.
