The old thermostat was hot to the touch and had no display.

This customer called us because his older Honeywell touchscreen thermostat had no display and was getting hot. We verified proper voltage was reaching it and determined the thermostat itself had failed.

We replaced it with an Ecobee Smart Thermostat Lite Wi-Fi thermostat and then used our Fieldpiece psychrometer to verify the actual temperature and humidity at the thermostat so we could make sure the new thermostat was reading accurately.

Ecobee also allows wireless room sensors to be added for better temperature averaging throughout the home or to prioritize a bedroom at night.
