🤝 Our building industry continues to step up for Northwest Indiana!

Today, our Executive Officer, Jennifer Young, connected with fellow Indiana Builders Association, Inc. member Mike Smith from LP Building Solutions for Homeowners Nashville office to accept a generous donation of YETI coolers, power banks and work gloves for our Region.

The supplies will support local recovery and rebuilding efforts following the devastating August natural disaster and will be shared with United Way Northwest Indiana, Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana, and Habitat for Humanity of Porter County.

With our upcoming Fall Parade of Homes also raising funds to support these organizations and our neighbors impacted by the storm, we are especially grateful to LP Building Solutions for joining us in giving back to the communities we serve.

It’s a great reminder of what our industry can accomplish when we come together — builders, partners and organizations working side by side to help our neighbors rebuild and recover.

Join us in welcoming the HBANWI 2026–2027 Intern Associates! 🎉
We are thrilled to welcome Martin Hernandez and Alyssa Welsh to the Home Builders Association of Northwest Indiana for the 2026–2027 year!

🏠 Meet Martin Hernandez
Martin is pursuing a degree in Accounting, with a passion for problem-solving, numbers and understanding how finances work in the real world. He is excited to build meaningful professional connections through HBANWI while gaining valuable experience he can carry throughout his career. His future goals include working in public accounting or as a financial analyst and earning his CPA or CFA.

📱 Meet Alyssa Welsh
Alyssa is a senior at Purdue University Northwest, graduating in December with a degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. She is passionate about marketing, communications and especially social media. Alyssa has already gained unique experience in digital content creation, including serving as an alternate for Shakira’s NBC show Dancing With Myself. She hopes to build her career in Northwest Indiana and work in a marketing or communications role.

We are excited to have Martin and Alyssa on board and look forward to watching them learn, grow and make an impact throughout the year. Their energy, talent and fresh perspectives will be a great addition to our team!
