Throwback to my favorite project this year so far. This 20×40 carport was the first one I took on myself, with a helper for the parts that needed an extra set of hands. Seeing it come together was a proud moment and a big step for me.

My father gave me the foundation to start this business, and I wouldn’t be where I am without his wisdom. People sometimes assume it’s a father-and-son operation, but I run the business myself. Having his years of experience to turn to is a blessing as I take on bigger challenges and learn through my own growing pains.

I’m going on five years in business, and I still feel like I’m just getting started. Like those first steps as a kid, what feels huge today will eventually become second nature. Every project helps me get there.

Five years from now, I hope carports like this are everyday work—and I’m excited to see what else I’ll be taking on.

**Not a pool fence.**

Another project in the books, and another project wiser.

Over the past few weeks, I had the opportunity to create this custom fence to keep the owners’ dogs separated to one side of the yard. Like many custom fabrication projects, this one came with its share of challenges and tested me both as a business owner and as a fabricator.

At the end of the day, I feel incredibly blessed to have opportunities that push me to grow. Every project teaches me something new, and I’m excited to continue this journey—not just as a business owner and fabricator, but as a person.

2025 at a glance, 20 of my favorite projects.

I’m truly thankful for the chance to keep growing, both as a person and as a business owner. It hasn’t been easy, and it may not look like much from the outside, but I’m building something for the long run. These projects are what I have to show for the progress, lessons, and growth along the way.

I’m grateful for my faith in God that keeps me going during the hard times, for my parents and sisters who always support me, and for my friends and clients who push me forward with every like, comment, and referral.

Looking forward to 2026 and whatever projects come next — excited for what’s ahead.

As I work with different customers, I’ve come across a few who could be called “picky.” But I’ve realized they’re not always being difficult—they might just have a standard I wasn’t holding myself to yet.

The “pickier” the customer, the bigger the chance to level up. High-quality work should be the baseline, not something the customer has to demand.

And yeah, it can sting when someone points out a flaw in work that took real effort, time, and sweat. But there’s a difference between someone asking for more than what they paid for and someone expecting what they paid for.

Learning that changed how I work. Now I know what it takes to deliver top quality the first time—and how to charge for that level of work.

Those lessons don’t come free.
